Its here!!!

In a room filled with anticipation November 16, Highlands Summer Festival Artistic producer Scot Denton unveiled the productions being presented during the summer of 2015. The announcement was made at a celebration hosted at McKeck’s Tap and Grill. Here is a list of what delights will be on our stage. For more details on the each productions see the listings on the home page.

The season opens with the riotously funny Lend me a Tenor. This delightful farce by Ken Ludwig features the usual mistaken identity, slamming doors and characters running around in their underwear.

Next up is Dale Wasserman’s One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. This classic piece of American literature, film and stage, cleverly weaves a tale that is wickedly funny as well as mesmerizing, often at the same time.

Dan Needles is back in the first of our concert slots. This time he arrives with the show Wingfield Lost and Found. Walt Wingfield’s farm is running out of water and the search for a fresh supply provides the basis for many fun-filled adventures.

We also welcome back the Little Sisters of Hoboken who will be taking their antics to Las Vegas in a musical called Nunsensations!. The sisters were a hit the last time on our stage and promise even more laughs as they invade Sin City.

Ralph + Lina is the name of our second concert presentation. In a dynamic movement piece Dan Watson and Christina Serra search deep within the Italian roots of their own family to tell a story of love, longing and happiness.

“I think we have something for everyone this year,” Scot Denton said. “We are looking forward to a season that will entertain and challenge our audiences with lots of laughs and perhaps a few tears along the way.”
