More March Madness with Contest # 10

Highlands Summer Festival

Photo Contest

Each month we post a photo from one of the shows we presented over the past two decades. The challenge for you is to identify the show and the year it was presented. There could be additional questions as well, depending on the whims of the quizmaster. All you have to do is submit your answers to

by the 25th of the month. We will select one winner from all the correct entries received. The winner will receive two tickets to any of the next season’s shows. A new photo will be posted at the beginning of each month at which time we’ll announce the winner of the previous contest.

It is as simple as that.

  • No entry fee.
  • No tickets to buy.
  • No Zoom meetings to attend.

….just a nostalgic stroll down our theatrical memory lane and a chance to score some tickets to the next Highlands Summer Festival season.

Perhaps your humble contest-meister was overly optimistic, but we did not have a winner for Contest # 9 which showed two of our favourite music instructors dancing and singing up a storm in the 2002 concert called Au Naturel. The third member of the cast we were hoping you could identify was yet another music instructor, Tom Regina, who made his appearance in a bee costume to delight the audience with a flute solo, Rimski-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee. The premise of the concert was that the three musicians were on camping trip with the usual gear, musical instruments and a grand piano. (sigh) Those were the days. So without a winner to give the tickets to, we will carry them forward to the next contest and award four tickets to next season to anyone who can answer the questions to…..

The challenge this time will be to tell us the name of the production, the year it was on stage and the two actors appearing in this scene. Extra points if you can name the medieval execution device that was a gory part of this play’s set.

Send your entry by March 25 to:

Watch for the winner to be announced and the next contest in this location in early April. Good Luck!!!
