IN PERSON
The theatre box office will be open in the lobby of the Northern Lights Performing Arts Pavilion in the Haliburton Highlands High School an hour before each performance. Donations will be gratefully accepted at the box office.

Donations can made in cheque, cash or by credit card.

Through the efforts of Friends of the Highlands Summer Festival thousands of dollars have been invested in the past years to help the Festival grow. In addition to donations received from members and corporations, the organization hosts a 50/50 draw during each performance and  fund-raising events during the off season. Sincere thanks to all donors and those who purchase our 50/50 tickets. 

A large portion of donations is invested in the infrastructure of the Northern Lights Performing Arts Pavilion, improving the facility for all users. Donations from Friends of the Highlands Summer Festival have been combined with funding from the Performing Arts Society and the High School, with the assistance of the Haliburton County Development Corporation, in the purchase of new lighting equipment for the theatre in 2019. Each year, donations have also helped the Festival cover the cost of professional directors and actors.

We will issue a tax receipt for your generous contribution. Donations are accounted for on a calendar year basis with tax receipts issued in the first two months of the following new year.
We are appreciative of the financial support provided by the Friends of the Highlands Summer Festival and suggest again that you consider adding your support this season. To encourage you to donate, we are offering the following incentives:
  • FREE EXCHANGES: if you make a donation with your season pass or single ticket order, you can change your reservation without charge, if alternate seating is available
  • RECOGNITION: Your contribution will be acknowledged in the program and on our website.
  • FOR ALL THEATRE USERS: Donations assist us in improving the Northern Lights Performing Arts Pavilion to everyone’s benefit.
  • FOR THE FUTURE: You will have the satisfaction of supporting one of the most dynamic summer theatre companies in Ontario and ensuring its continued viability.
  • TAX DEDUCTIBLE: As a registered charity, Highlands Summer Festival will acknowledge your donation of $20 or more with an official receipt which can be used for income tax purposes. 
  • VOTE: As a donor you become a member and can vote at the Highlands Summer Festival AGM in April.
